We needed a bike lift and on the cheap! We have checked out a lot of ideas online and came up with this one. We are not against a proper lift that you can buy from the store but wanted to save money and not be stuck with a metal albatross for the rest of our lives. Also I wanted to incorporate the use of the bike jack that we already have as the work horse of the whole deal. The logic is that we have one piece of equipment that can multitask. I let in to the ends of the platform to accommodate the jack. It is very secure and never has had a problem. Added the wheel chock in the front and never looked back. It is exactly what we need and cheap!! I think we have $69 bucks in wood and cinder block, $50 something in the wheel chock. And that sure beats the $600+ a metal store bought unit costs. Don’t get me wrong, we love the metal lift too but this serves us just as well. Came in with a deck height of around 23” and sturdy! Please enjoy! You will Need:
