Rhyolite Train Depot

We just got finished with an extensive Build on Blue. 95" kit and all. While on the trip we ran several Auto Tune sessions and have this dialed in pretty well now. This trip puts us just short of the 500 mile break-in. 

This trip NQP went to Beatty and Rhyolite! This was a 300 mile trip total. We stopped along the way for breaks and to streach the legs. Took us about 2.5 hours each direction. The temperature varied along the way as altitude changed. Lots of open roads and you can avoid the city traffic with a little investigation. Remember to bring water. It can get long between stops and just in case you get jammed up. We initially wanted to use Beatty as a springboard last year for an overnight Trip into Death Valley. After having visited that would be a great idea for a future trip. Beatty has a lot to offer for accommodations and fun. We stopped in to Happy Burro for some of their world famous Chili. After we swung into Rhyolite (All Paved but Rough roads) to see the Ghost town. This is very cool and not too crowded. It is a hidden Gem out in that area. There is also Dunes along that are awesome to see. Unfortunately we were on a bit of a schedule and didn’t build in time for that. Gas prices on the trip we very acceptable and not too for apart.
