With 65K miles on the bike, Not really sure of the status of the front suspension. It was a bit spongy from the get go. Took the time to pull the front forks and check wheel bearings, brakes, and disassemble the Shocks. We have included a parts breakdown on the Downloads page. It is a PDF that has an exploded view and the parts list that you will need. Some of the parts are harder to get or you may find it easier to source them from a place other than Harley. We are using Genuine Harley parts for this Re-build as much as possible. Right now because we are in the middle of the project and we have just upgraded cameras, some of the pictures are better quality than others. Please enjoy the pics to this point! We made a Fork Cap Compression Tool from an old bolt, washers, and a couple sockets lying around. Click the button to see how it works!
-5/6 Meana is back together and rides way better. Very GLAD that we went to the trouble of rebuilding the front end. Added some pics of the re-build, there was a small glitch, the power vision needed to be reformatted and tunes loaded again. Already did a session of auto tuning yesterday.
As we wrap up things here with this build. This journey has not been without its adventure. Only a few more Auto Tune Sessions left and the fuel maps will be finalized. With the saddle bags freshly coated and inspected from front to back. Looking forward to getting around 500 miles on the odometer and sending this one out the door. Please check out the new pictures added.
a final walk around and stats page will be available soon.
