From Rags To Riches -SOLD-

Prime Example Right Here!!!

After we got this girl home we found a multitude of problems. We even found some time to make some upgrades. In reality this bike was perfect for what we do here at NQP. This is defiantly our wheelhouse!!

-Take an older bike with low miles and give it a fresh start.-

Someone may have cherished it for 2 decades and the upkeep is beyond their means or capabilities. Bring it in and get it on the table! Bike has great compression with beautiful crosshatching as we found with the bore scope. There were electrical issues all over the bike. Went through it with a fine tooth comb and found them all. Common mistake that result in mechanical issues, corrosion and other problems. Trans is in great condition, tires, brakes, bearings. Fixed the missing horn that was apparently cut off. New hand grips, wind shield, and saddle Bags. Got rid of the corroded stock fork sliders for the beautiful chrome set rebuilt the forks while we were at it. Added saddle bags for a short day trip. Now this is great bike that is reliable for a person to start learning on or a nice and cheap entry level bike. With a TON of life left in it!   Take a look in the photos below and enjoy.

2003 XL1200C Sportster Custom

Classic Sportster to learn on

We have a new rider that wants to learn on a larger bike. We picked this 1200 custom up from a fellow in Detroit for a great price. That was a good thing too because it needed a lot of attention just to get is road worthy. Going through it found a big problem in the tail light wire harness and got that resolved. Broke out the fine-tooth comb to figure out all the items that need addressing. Basic fluids and plugs and what not are next! Looks like the bike had some great upgrades early on and then was just neglected. Compression test was right on the money and it has low miles. We are glad to have found this bike, we can do some basic maintenance and get a lot more years of dependable riding out of it. Bikes like this one are perfect because of the abundance of parts that are available at reasonable prices.
